Invisio Pharmaceuticals provides alternative, and innovative formulations to help patients who have an unmet need, in that they struggle for one reason or another with more traditional forms of medication.  Our oral liquids are ‘Special’ medications, tailored solutions with 3 months shelf-life.  The tablet forms of our medications are used to treat Parkinson’s Disease, Excessive Daytime Sleepiness associated with Parkinson’s Disease and Narcolepsy.

Our goal is to provide therapies to patients which are as pleasant as possible for them to take.  The routine of taking daily tablet or capsule medication for some patients can become associated with an unpleasant, or difficult act to perform.  This might be because they struggle to swallow the tablet or capsule; or because they have to split a tablet to generate a small enough dose.  This association may lead to detrimental attitude towards medication, and this can result in reduced levels of adherence.  Subsequent sub-optimal dosing can result in symptom re-emergence.  This places additional strain on Carers, the Medical Team and the NHS Budget.

We are pleased to be supporting the Association of Formulation Innovation in their activities.  Through provision of a wider range of options for patients, there is a real hope that NHS Drug Wastage will be reduced, patient association with their medication dosing will be improved, and subsequent adherence to therapy will be increased.  This should result in better symptom control, better care and better lives for all.
